Being detatched doesn’t mean that you cannot enjoy the good things the world has to offer. It doesn‘t mean to not be happy for too long because, it wont last.
In fact, it means you enjoy more. In depth. In gratitude.
Once you see and accept the transience of all things and the inevitability of change, you can enjoy the pleasures of the world while they last without fear of loss or anxiety about the future. When you become detatched, you gain a higher vantage point from which to view the events in your life instead of being trapped inside them.
Once you awaken to the beauty of all situations and detatch from the fear of losing it, another dimension comes into your life.
Inner space.
It comes as a stillness, a subtle peace deep within you. Even in a „bad“ situation there is this space between you and your thoughts. There is a space around emotional highs and lows. And from this space emenates a peace that is not „of this world“. For this world is form, and peace is space.
This is the peace of god.
Now you can enjoy and honor the things of this world without giving them an importance they don‘t have. You can participate in the dance of creation without attachement to the outcome or making demands like: Fulfill me, make me happy, make me feel safe, tell me who I am.
The world cannot give you those things, and when you no longer have such expectations, all self created suffering comes to an end. You can enjoy experiences and pleasures without losing yourself in them, without becoming addicted to the world.
Find the still point.
And dance.
